We Shape London Poster InvitationDigswell Arts Fellow Allistair Covell will be featured in the We Shape London pop-up exhibition at the Rag Factory in London on Saturday 25th April 2015.

Allistair’s award-winning rug, “The City” will be on display alongside the original acrylic painting “Study of the City” that inspired it.

The painting and the rug are abstract interpretations of the city of London; showing the shapes, landmarks and architectural features of the London skyline.

“The City” rug was hand-woven in Afghanistan and won Allistair the AfghanMade Best Young Designer award at the prestigious Carpet Design Awards in January 2014 at DOMOTEX Hannover. The We Shape London exhibition will mark the first time the rug has been on public display in London.

We Shape London is a pop-up exhibition created by a new creative agency called We Shape. The exhibition fuses art, fashion and music and will showcase the work of emerging artists from multiple creative disciplines.

RSVP to attend the event is essential so please contact We Shape for guaranteed entry at rsvp@weshape.london

Allistair is honoured that the “Study of the City” painting has been chosen to promote the exhibition in print and online.
