Digswell Arts fellow Amy Wilson, based at the Fenners studio, has had her woven textile design work selected for the annual Contemporary Textile Fair at The Landmark Arts Centre, taking place from the Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th March 2019.
The fair offers visitors the “perfect opportunity to see a diverse range of designer makers showing a stunning array of distinctive and colourful textiles” and is a “must visit event in the textiles lovers calendar”. Amy will be showing a section of her latest handwoven fabric and accessories from the ‘Liliane Boutique’ collection during the event.
Amy’s textile and accessories have a distinctly Parisian twist and vintage style. They are carefully crafted from fine silks, organic cotton and British wool, making them luxurious to wear. Designs are often influenced by 1920s or 1930s style and elegant vintage Dior and Chanel Haute Couture. Amy finds endless inspiration in the intricate patterns and structures found in nature and the environment and creates a unique range of design work and cloth. The ‘Liliane’ label product collections are made seasonally, including scarves, wraps, clutch bags, wristlet purses, fascinators, brooch pins and now a new made to order selection of homewares.
