You are welcome to sign up for either both days or one of the days, depending on your interest.

Day one

will involve learning how to create a variety of colourful prints using found natural objects such as leaves, seed heads and textural surfaces, combined with expressive mark making.  All Materials included; Oil based Inks, paper and tissue, all sundries.

Day two

will involve learning how to develop your print work using machine stitch. Students will explore methods of assemblage and ways to add colour, texture and ways of reinterpreting their print work using machine stitch mark making, embellishing and collage.

Day two is ideal for those that have previously created print work on paper. For instance prints using Monoprint, etching or Lino print on paper such as newsprint cartridge paper and tissue. Whilst there will not be time on the day to produce further print work there will be an opportunity to use inks and drawing methods to add colours, marks and definition.
