Cocoons By Amanda Bloom

Prism is an exhibiting group with an international reach, and they’re responsible for marrying fine art with textile in a wonderful exhibition. Fabric won’t ever be seen the same way after seeing the exhibition, as it is incorporated with media themes and observers will be able to see just how much life can be found in textiles.

‘Cocoons’ is a fantastic piece that Trustee and Alumni Amanda Bloom is more than happy to show this year. It will be shown in ‘Fragility’, the Prism International Textiles Group exhibition, on:

29th May – 9th June 2019 at Hoxton Arches
28th May 6-8pm at PV Tuesday
and 8th – 19th October 2019 at RBSA Birmingham

Cocoons

The lifeless and hollow presence of something so fragile and gentle; subtle signs of what used to be life can be seen in the vessels that adorn the cocoons.
