Copper Foiling Taster Day

Learn how to make stained glass window hangings and decorations using the copper foiled method. This is the method used to make Tiffany lamps and involves joining pieces of glass together with copper foil tape which has been burnished to the glass pieces.

This course is a taster day running from 10am until 4pm and is suitable for those with little or no experience. All tools and materials are provided. The course is held at Digswell Arts, The Fenners Building in the heart of Letchworth. The workshops are limited to 4 participants only to ensure that you get the attention you need to master this beautiful craft.

You will learn glass selection, cutting and shaping glass and how to copper foil and solder the glass together to make a design of your choosing. Designs will be available or make your own!

Refreshments will be provided (please let me know if you have any special dietary requirements when booking) and there is a break at 12.30 – 1.30pm which gives you enough time to grab something to eat. We are situated in the very centre of Letchworth and there are many cafes and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. We are also a short walk from Letchworth train station and – if you wanted to make a weekend of it, there is a Premier Inn right across the road!
