Written by Forge

On September 5, 2019

A One day Workshop learning how to make experimental Cyanotype prints using paper and fabric surfaces combined with the UV light box to expose your prints.

Tutor – Sally Tyrie    Times – 10.30 – 4pm

We will begin with an introduction and overview of the Cyanotype process, the kinds of methods you can use and the variety of prints you can achieve. During the day you will have the opportunity to explore different kinds of imagery – such as drawn and printed onto acetate. Also how to use objects and stencils.  You will create vivid bold cyanotype prints on a variety of paper and fabric surfaces. This workshop is very much about experimentation. You may wish to use the day to explore and ‘play’ with ideas or you may have a project in mind and specific imagery you wish to bring in. We will be using ready mixed Cyanotype solution, the uv light box  to expose the print and the darkroom to prepare surfaces.

This day is being led by Sally Tyrie who is an experienced Tutor and who will work with you to achieve a personal group of work. There is a small maximum group size for this day so that everyone receives lots of personal advice and assistance. All materials provided including range of paper and fabric surfaces. Tea and snacks provided.
