This course will combine drypoint and collagraph techniques for printmaking. Experimenting with creating line, shape and texture on a plate – you will then produce a series of prints, from your own design or image, using litho inks on an etching press. This technique is very good for capturing detail and bolder shapes within one print.
Tutor – Sue Jarman , 10.30am – 4:00pm , Fee is £70. Includes all materials. Also tea and cake.
About the Tutor:
Sue Jarman is an image maker and printmaker.
A visual artist who tells stories with pictures and creates emotional responses through drawing, painting and illustration – her ideas are taken somewhere different with printmaking.
At present she combines drypoint, collagraph and screenprinting techniques, focusing on line, texture, composition and colour – surfaces and media vary but include paper, fabric, wood.
She also has a wide range of experience running creative workshops and lecturing.
