Jaime Freestone to Exhibit New Work at The Crows Nest Gallery in London
November 30, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - December 3, 2018 @ 8:00 pm
Digswell Arts fellow Jaime Freestone, based at the Fenners studios in Letchworth Garden City has, since 2013, worked with an eclectic mix of materials. The multidisciplinary artist is passionate about nature, obsessed with imagery of the skull and a self confessed colour addict and will be showing his new paintings at The Crows Nest Gallery, from the 30th of November until the 3rd of December.
Jaime has previously created many sculptural pieces from an amalgamation of discarded materials and natural finds, learning taxidermy as a process to reanimate dead birds and using them in his work. Painting recycled garments as his first canvas opened a door to a world of painting, leading to creating pieces for wearable art for advocate and mentor Sue Kreiztman. Jaime’s journey has gone from painted fashion to reclaimed wood and now painting on traditional canvas.
Jaime’s work continues to evolve while experimenting with previously unused mediums and uses Oil, Acrylic, Ink, Charcoal and collage in his artworks, using these materials playfully in his own way and producing bold colourful works that are recognised as Freestone’s.
Exhibiting as part of a group of artists presented by Art Emergence, Jaime will be showing his work at their arts, design and craft affordable art fair.
The art fair is taking place at The Crows Nest Gallery, Crowthorne Road , London W10 6RP, and the opening times are 30th November, 12pm- 8pm, 1st and 2nd of December 12pm – 6pm and the 3rd of December 12pm – 5pm.
