In July we held the first ever Group Exhibition representing the wealth of printmaking undertaken by Artists at Digswell Arts. Despite being a tricky time of the year to attract visitors; with summer holidays just revving up, we were very pleased with the positive response to the work. In addition to exhibiting work by current artists, We were also delighted to showcase the work by a number of artists who are associated with the studios in some way. For Instance, Alumni artist Connie Flynn and artists from a ‘call out’ who regularly use the Print Workshop and who have attended workshops.
Organised by Digswell Artists Julia Holt and Sally Tyrie this exhibition, which ran for just over a week at Fenners Gallery, attracted around 136 visitors and some great feedback. There was notable positive feedback on the curation and hanging undertaken by Julia, Sally and Digswell Artists Caryl Beach and Sue Jarman.
