Artists at Fenners hosted a Big Draw event on Sat 10th October, a steady
stream of visitors added to a drawing using pen and ink with wash on
calico. Visitors were enouraged to draw from their imagination or using
still life objects drawing on the Big Draw theme “Every Drawing Tells a
Story”.  It was encouraging to see a wide range of ages attending the
event and learning more about the drawing technique as well as about
Fenners and what goes on there. The Big Draw event was succesfully
combined with a Macmillan coffee morning fundraiser, run by Cathy Smale
who produced fantastic art themed cakes for the event and raised just
over £100 for the charity.

Fenners artists next open event will be free
drop in workshops on Sat 31st Ocotober and Sun 1 November as part of the
Fire and Fright Festival in Letchworth. All ages and abilities welcome
to take part.
