The Fenners Building was alive with artists and visitors for the summer Open Day this June, part of the wider Letchworth Festival celebrations. Over 230 people came to look around the studios and talk to the artists about their work.
Work was exhibited, sold and shown in progress, providing an opportunity to explore the many different methods and techniques that go into the creative workings of the Digswell Fellows. Even the cakes were themed as works of art and raised £52.93 for local charity Garden House Hospice Care.
Preparations are now underway for the next event, which will see the Fenners Building form part of the Art Trail on Saturday July 22nd for the Letchworth Arts Takeover.
Digswell Arts is an innovative charity, currently celebrating its 60th year providing studio space for emerging artists. The studios in Letchworth were established in 2012 and continue to grow, supporting 16 artists and a ceramics community.
