A photograph taken by Digswell Alumni Connie Flynn has been selected to be part of the Picturing Lockdown Historic England Archive. The public were asked ‘to create a unique and reflective record of a week across the nation during this extraordinary moment in history.’
‘Picturing Lockdown, resulted in nearly 3,000 submissions from across England. Due to the huge interest in the project, Historic England has doubled the size of the Collection. The final Collection of 200 images consists of 100 public submissions, These will be catalogued by the Historic England Archive and will be made freely accessible online.’
‘This is the first time the public have been asked to capture a moment in time and save it in the Historic England Archive of over 12 million photographs since the Second World War.’
