Hope in Soap 2020-2021 work by Connie Flynn in the Adjustment Exhibition, Norfolk Makers Festival.

Digswell Arts Trust Alumni, Connie Flynn is delighted to have her Hope in Soap 2020-2021 work selected for the Adjustment exhibition at Norfolk Makers Festival, The Forum, Norwich. Hope in Soap 2020-2021 consists of thirteen hand felted pouches for thirteen hand carved soaps. Each soap refers to the many adjustments we have all had to make during the pandemic.

She writes,

‘With the increase in use of hand sanitiser and at times the lack of soap on the supermarket shelves. ‘Hope in Soap 2020-2021’, represents the different stages of ‘adjustments’ during the pandemic. Each soap is protected in a soft hand felted pouch, as soap became a vital and precious commodity.’

Adjustment Exhibition is on from Wed 9th March to Sun 20th March, 10am – 5pm

Death Dreams & Desire

Death Dreams & Desire

We are a collective of five working artists who meet regularly to share and discuss the progress of our work. Through doing so we have identified a number of common themes; memory, loss, re-emergence and return. These are expressed by each of us through a variety of concepts and techniques. Our practices include drawing, painting and printmaking; sculpture; photography and film;
documentation, installation and live art.
