For the past six years Maria has collaborated with a range of Cambridge based scientists including Dr Helen Mason, OBE, Dr Giles Yeo and Dr Hugh Hunt to produce notable artworks for Creative Reactions, and the international ‘Pint of Science Festival’.  She was awarded The Peoples Award in 2015 for an artwork titled ‘Making Materials Come Alive’ – a large mixed media pieces made in collaboration with group leader at the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at Cambridge University, Dr Stoyan Smoukov.

Maria lives and works as an artist close to the Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire border, delivering print workshops and lecturing Art and Design to Higher Education students at a local further education college. She also produces exclusive illustrations for ‘Coded Storm’, a British-based contemporary art studio, specialising in hand-made prints and other original paper-based goods.
