print-workshopMono print and mark making techniques workshop

Saturday 23rd June   10.30 – 4pm    cost;  £45

A one day workshop which will cover a wide range of monoprint and markmaking techniques and media using the etching press.

Mono printing is an expressive and very versatile print process which is especially interesting when creating layered imagery. During the day you will have the opportunity to explore a range of ways to create a print using found objects, direct mark making and stencils. You will use oil based litho inks and have the opportunity to use a variety of artist quality paper surfaces. This day is an invaluable opportunity to familiarise yourself with the Digswell print studio as well as a fun way to learn techniques using this lively and expressive method of multi layered printmaking.

You can view some examples of prints achieved using mono print processes on Sally Tyrie’s website; www.sallytyrie.wordpress.com

Testimonials

“We weren’t really sure what to expect but pleased that you had a very professional but relaxed approach.  We weren’t apprehensive before hand as we both had various art related experiences and we are sure that even a total novice would have felt comfortable with the workshop.  We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the day to anyone”.  Pip and Paul Howe 10/02/12
