Saturday October 6th is the first date for our Autumn Programme of Print workshops at Digswell Arts Forge Studios.

We return from a lovely summer break with a Linoprinting workshop, looking at techniques to create detailed, colourful prints using this very accessible medium.

Sally Tyrie will be hosting the event and the workshop will be led by Guest Artist Katharine Green, whose exquisite lino prints can be found in a number of galleries across the region as well as on Greetings cards by Green Pebble. Take a look at her profile in Artists and Illustrators.

The day will involve drawing a design that will then be transferred onto a piece of lino and then carved out before printing the finished piece later in the afternoon. This workshop is open to beginners looking to try something new and to those already familiar with the medium and want to expand on their knowledge. The subject of your design is completely up to you. There will be an Autumn theme in mind with a selection of seed heads and seasonal plants on hand to provide you the opportunity to draw from on the day. You will need to bring your own sketchbook and drawing materials with you and a packed lunch. All inks, lino and paper for printing will be provided.

Cost is £70 inc. tea, coffee and cake.
