Louise Lahive

Digswell Arts alumnus Louise Lahive‘s latest exhibition takes inspiration from science to explore ancestry, death and time. Showing until 11 May 2019 at the Surface Gallery in Nottingham. Using her father’s ashes, she started with patterns found in them with an electron microscope and produced a number of pieces that go from the microscopic to visualising our place in a seemingly boundless universe.

Death Dreams & Desire

Death Dreams & Desire

We are a collective of five working artists who meet regularly to share and discuss the progress of our work. Through doing so we have identified a number of common themes; memory, loss, re-emergence and return. These are expressed by each of us through a variety of concepts and techniques. Our practices include drawing, painting and printmaking; sculpture; photography and film;
documentation, installation and live art.
