excerpt from Exhib catalogue
‘Whilst there are often many starting points to my work a key input was a visit to see the sculptural installations of Charlotte Posenenske. Intimate, shifting, transient and ungraspable, the spaces in and around the sculptures became of central interest as I used drawings and collages to reimagine and reinterpret. Marks revealed, concealed, retraced and reused, the resulting works seek to offer alternative narratives whilst revealing wider concerns with identity and unity amidst complex interaction’
