Sandra Smith takes part in a group exhibition in Japan

Sandra Smith, one of our newest Artists at the Forge Studios, has taken part in a group show in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition, called ‘ SEER – European Painting and Drawing, featured small works from a group of invited artists across Europe.

The exhibition was held at Gallery Punto in the Sokei Academy of Fine Arts, Tokyo (https://www.britishcouncil.jp/en/uk-japan-2019-20/events/arts-seer  https://www.sokei.ac.jp ).

It was curated by John France (senior lecturer Drawing and Applied Arts UWE) and Jan-Phillip Fruehsorge (thedrawinghub.org/founder and www.koeniggalerie.com) based in Berlin . Invited artists are from Belgium , Germany, France , Iceland , Spain and the UK

Exhibition dates – Tuesday 15 October – Wednesday 30 October 2019.

Sandra Smith is based at the Forge Studios and coordinates the Slade Summer School and Short Courses.
