The language of marks; embellishing your prints with stitch mark making.

Sally Tyrie will be delivering an in depth look at methods of creating Multilayered prints by using an exciting mixture of drawing and mark making methods combining print, collage and stitch.

Participants are encouraged to bring any previously created print work and there will be time at the start of the day to make some additional drawings using ink and drawing methods, if needed. The main part of the day will be spent learning about collage and stitch methods to add colour, marks and texture to your print work as well as using stitch to combine and assemble.

You will need to bring a sewing machine.

Combining Drypoint and Mono print 

Times 10.30 – 4pm fee is £70 inc. all materials

On this one day workshop you will explore ways of combining the linear, drawn and exquisite marks obtained with Drypoint and the more painterly approach of Monoprint. You will work with a Rhenalon plate and have the opportunity to explore mark making using a range of tools. You will use Oil based Litho ink to create a group of prints created on the etching press.

Print your own Tote bag – Lino printing on Textiles 

Times 10.30 – 4pm Fee is £70 inc. all materials

On this one day course you will learn how to create a design for your own Lino printed Tote bag exploring pattern, use of colour, technique and printing methods.

You will use the Albion Press and learn about printing on Textile surfaces.
