Sat 11th June – Collagraph techniques – learn about methods of creating unique and textural Collagraph plates and how to make a series of colourful and exciting prints from your plates, using the etching press – with Sally Tyrie

Sat 2nd July – Expressive Mark Making in Printmaking – learn about some of the more ‘painterly’ processes you can use when combining the use of the etching press with multilayered mono print methods.

Also, there are still places left on the upcoming Monoprint with Intaglio processes workshop on Saturday 26th March with Sally Tyrie

On this one day workshop you will have the opportunity to make a group of striking prints by combining the more ‘painterly’ and expressive quality of mono print mark making with the linear, drawn and more precise quality of dry point intaglio methods. You will work with the etching press and explore how to create a series of multilayered prints by combining these two exciting methods together. You will use artist quality oil based inks and specialist printmaking paper.

Fee for each workshop is £55 with discounts for booking 2 or more workshops in advance.
Times ; 10.30 – 4
Location – Forge Studios, Hertford Road, Digswell, Herts, AL6 0BU – 5 min drive from A1 junction 4

All workshops are suitable for beginners and improvers as numbers are small and the day can be tailored to individual needs.

Testimonials;

“Just a note to thank you for the workshop on Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed it and valued being able to see and try out the range of equipment available. I am now going to get myself some oil-based inks and paper from either Intaglio or the place that you mentioned in Knebworth, and will then be in contact to try to arrange a date to come over and do some printing”.   S. Brown 19.01.16

“I have thoroughly enjoyed both my workshops so far and I am looking forward to the Lino Print & Dry Point Etching. It is great to learn new techniques and very exciting to see the results after turning the big wheel on the press. Good value especially if you book all four workshops”    Valerie 09.10.14
