The Digswelll Arts Trust is one of the thriving and vibrant arts communities that have two different sites. One is based in Digswell close to Welwyn, while the other is in Letchworth, which is now in the 62nd year, which makes this community among the oldest of this kind across the country.
The charity that was created to foster the emerging artists provides a studio space that is affordable, along with a very illustrious history. Henry Moore was one of the keen supporters, and the internationally renowned alumni include Michael Andrews, the painter, and Hans Coper, the potter. The latest artists which go by the name of “Fellows” have already exhibited their pieces at the Mall Galleries, the Royal Academy, as well as The London Orginal Print Fair. They have also won or landed on the shortlists for a number of awards that include the Contemporary Arts Trust Prize.
