The Community Museum, Letchworth Garden City
6 – 14 October 2018

Fenners fellows Liz Harrington and Katherine Roberts, and ex-fellows Louise Lahive and John Vincent, participate in the Unity Muse exhibition.

Unity Muse presents new work by 13 artists based in and around Letchworth Garden City.

The exhibition takes the term ‘local artist’ as a starting point and asks: can all artists be described as ‘local artists’? The exhibition title subverts the venue’s name and is edited to form the shortened Unity Muse. Although united by geographical location, the exhibition demonstrates the extensive range of work being made by artists in the area. The exhibition includes work in a variety of media including; painting, sculpture, photography, sound, film and illustration.

The artists participating met through Meet | Critique, a monthly event organised by the Broadway Gallery. Meet | Critique invites artists to discuss their work and share advice on how they can develop both creatively and professionally.

Unity Muse is curated by Laura Dennis, co-ordinated by Katherine Roberts and Rhiannon Moxham and supported by the Broadway Gallery.

A percentage of sales income and contributions towards the exhibition pamphlet will be donated to Herts Young Homeless.
