‘Wallace 100’ Celebrations – Caryl Beach, Veronica Grassi and Sally Tyrie

wallaceThree Digswell artists; Caryl Beach,Veronica Grassi and Sally Tyrie , currently based at the Forge studios have come together to create work that responds to one of Hertford’s historical residents, Alfred Russel Wallace.

‘Intrepid explorer, brilliant naturalist and remarkable intellectual, Alfred Russel Wallace co-discovered the process of evolution by natural selection with Charles Darwin’.  ‘Wallace 100’ Art Trail coincides with ‘nationwide events being organised by the Natural History Museum and partner institutions around the world to commemorate his life and work on the 100th anniversary of his death in 1913’. (source Natural History museum)
