How we support artists
Digswell Arts Trust supports artists during a formative stage in their careers. At The Forge, Fellows have access to dedicated, affordable studios and a working environment that gives them room to experiment, reflect and develop.
Creative development rarely follows a straight path. Fellowship provides a period of stability within a community of practising artists. Fellows exchange ideas, share skills and learn from one another while continuing to shape their own distinct practices.
Our support extends beyond the studio. Fellows can participate in exhibitions, Open Studios, professional discussions and community projects, helping them develop their confidence, experience and public profile.
Our work is inspired by our founder, Henry Morris, and his belief that art should be part of everyday life. We connect artists with schools, community groups and local partners, creating opportunities for Fellows to share their practice while making art more accessible.
We remain committed to welcoming new ideas, supporting individual creative journeys and helping artists make a meaningful contribution through their work.
