Last Saturday it was the Group Lino Print workshop at the Forge Studios in Digswell.
This workshop, hosted by Sally Tyrie, was led by guest Artist Katharine Green who brought lots of her own work in, as well as autumnal flora and fauna, to help inspire and provide ideas to the class.
Katharine is a Hertfordshire based painter and printmaker who makes intricately cut prints inspired by the immediate world around her. She has just taken part in the highly regarded Cambridge Original Print Biennale during which she won a prize to show her work at Church Street Gallery in October.

It is always a joy to see the work produced during these lively print days, in our dedicated print space.
We were both so impressed with their work as most were complete beginners. Here is a selection and sneak peek of the day and a message from one of our participants.

Hello Katherine, Sally
‘I just wanted to say a big thank you to you both for putting on such a great workshop on Saturday. It was really enjoyable. I learnt a lot! and came away inspired by yours and the work of the others on the course, and with lots of ideas for things to try at home. P. Sawyer Oct 2018.
The Next Group Workshop date is Saturday 17th November which focuses on Drypoint etching and is being led by Digswell Artist Sally Tyrie
Participants will have the opportunity to create a series of Intaglio drypoint prints combining the linear qualities achievable with a drypoint needle with the more textural surface of Carborundum.
This day is suitable for complete beginners as well as the more experienced wishing to be more experimental with their work.
Fee is £70 and includes all materials.
More detailed information and example imagery coming soon.
