The Forge Printroom ready for the workshop

If the new year has inspired you to learn new skills and be more creative- look no further. Two Digswell Arts artist are starting workshops at The Forge this Saturday 26th of January.

Sally Tyrie opens up the print room to everyone who are interested and want to learn expressive, colourful multi- layered prints and have a go new interesting printing techniques. Using alternative surfaces like tissues, book pages and envelopes.

Sally is a Fine Artist who works mainly with mixed media and especially likes working with the more ‘painterly’ approaches within printmaking painting and photography.

Kirke Raava opens up her Studio no.9 to offer a workshop teaching needle felting, embroidery and simple embellishment techniques. The afternoon workshop offers the participants to make beautiful box frame with the desired design, using wide variety of techniques and materials.

Kirke has all the materials and skills sheets for you, with the box frame, alternatively you can make wall hanging and lots of samples to take home.

Kirke is a mixed media artist and is qualified garment technologist. She runs workshops and one to one sewing tuition at the Forge. She is interested in textile design, crochet and has started using print techniques mixing the textile with paper.
