Connie Flynn has had her mixed media textile work selected to be shown in the From the Earth exhibition, 1 – 26 June 2016 at Mardleybury Gallery in Datchworth, Herts. The exhibition is a celebration of Ethical Textiles from around the world to incorporate natural dyes, fabrics, fibres and yarns.

Connie’s mixed media work consists of a found rusty dustbin, which she cut and flattened, wrapped a piece of handmade felt fabric around it, then over time it became rust stained. She then drilled holes into the dustbin so she could hand stitch the rust stained felt fabric to it, hence the title ‘Rag N Bone’.

Please join us to celebrate Ethical Textiles from around the world and to view the fascinating work in this exhibition – All welcome!

Death Dreams & Desire

Death Dreams & Desire

We are a collective of five working artists who meet regularly to share and discuss the progress of our work. Through doing so we have identified a number of common themes; memory, loss, re-emergence and return. These are expressed by each of us through a variety of concepts and techniques. Our practices include drawing, painting and printmaking; sculpture; photography and film;
documentation, installation and live art.
