20140811_165733 webGill Ayre had a successful Private View for the opening of her solo exhibition ‘In Contemplation of Trees’ at Mill Green Museum went last night. Over 50 people came throughout the course of the evening, and several sales were made, with a percentage of all sales going towards the upkeep of the Museum – a very good cause. Thanks are due to all those who came and particularly to Jenny Oxley, the Curator and the staff at Mill Green Museum for helping to make it such a successful evening! Mill Green is a hidden gem so it was a wonderful opportunity to introduce people to the Museum if they had not been before.

The exhibition is on until 14th September, open Tuesday – Thursday 10am – 5pm and Sundays 2 – 5pm, and Museum is well worth a look if you have not been there before, with a working mill, and fresh  bread for sale made from their own flour. For anyone interested in buying any of the remaining work, the Museum is handing all sales during the exhibition.
