More success for the Forge printmakers’ group

'Easter Island - Moai' and 'Not Waving but Drowning', Mary Down
Sally Tyrie and Mary Down, Forge Printmembers whose prints were selected for Eastern Approaches – the UH  Galleries’ open submission exhibition, were prize winners in two of the award categories. Sally won the award for best Applied Art for a mixed media piece created as part of her recent research project for the Alfred Wallace centenary celebrations. Mary was awarded the prize sponsored by UH Recording for two large prints, “Not Waving  but Drowning” and “Easter Island – Moai”
This exhibition was open to artists living, working or studying in the East of England (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk) and all alumni of the University of Hertfordshire.  Selection Panel. Niki Braithwaite, Teresa Grimes and Simeon Nelson.
Venue:Museum of St Albans until  12 January 2014.
