During the first week of Letchworth Festival in June, Fenners artists welcomed schools and families to join them in a range of free, exciting creative activities, sponsored by Letchworth Heritage Foundation and North Herts District Council.

There were eight schools workshops for pupils and their teachers, and two weekend drop-ins.  Throughout the week, people of all ages and abilities were introduced to new techniques, processes and ways of thinking while exploring a range of media with Digswell artists.

With artists Debbie Bent, Amanda Bloom, Jane Glynn, Christine Harrison, Abu Jafar, Louise Lahive, Lizzie Lane and Helen Mason visitors created clay sculptures, felt art, books, prints, watercolour paintings, large mixed media collaborative pictures, wire sculptures and mixed media sculptures.

The workshops ran alongside an exhibition of new work by Fenners artists, The Longest Day.IMG_0283
